Angela Raquel Robertson

San Angelo

Angela Raquel Robertson, 47, of San Angelo, Texas, was welcomed into the House of the Lord on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017, in Lubbock, Texas, just one day before her birthday.

Angela, affectionately known to her family as Angel, was born on Nov. 19, 1969. She grew up in San Angelo and attended Lake View High School. She also attended Richland Community College in Decatur, Illinois and Angelo State University. She was 12 hours away from her Associate's Degree. Angela wrote beautiful poetry, and she also had a beautiful voice. Her gifts of singing, painting and sculpting were amazing. She will always be remembered for the song, "When He Was on The Cross, I Was on His Mind."

Angela was devoted to her babies, Elijah (Eli) Lambert Robertson and Laci McCrea Horn. She was a very caring and loving mother. Angela was grateful to Eli's Aunt Kathy Frye of Illinois for all that she has done for Eli. Angela had a very special place in her heart for her much loved friend Paula Gipson. She was a caregiver for many years to those who lived at the State School. She also was a nanny for many years for her Morgan, Meadow and Miley Strain whom she adored. She was very close to their mom, Michelle Strain, who was her cousin and first real friend. She loved Michelle beyond measure.

Angela cherished her time spent with her lifelong buddies, Angela Brooks, Rachel Juarez and D.J. Smith. D.J. went before Angela to be with the Lord and Angela missed him every day. She was especially close to her Aunt Judy who was like a second mother to her. Angela enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She had a tremendous sense of humor and a beautiful smile. She was kind to others and made a difference wherever she was. She was a friend to all who knew her, and she will forever be remembered and loved.

She is preceded in death by her loving grandparents, Monroe and Flossie Lambert; and Eli's father Donald Wayne Langford. She is survived by her parents, Lloyd and Eloise Hablizel and Jerry and Debra Robertson; her children, Eli Lambert Robertson and Laci McCrea Horn and her husband, Corey; and Eli's grandparents, Archie and Janet Christison. She is also survived by her closest relatives, Chuck and Judy McFarland, many other relatives, and loving friends whom she considered family.

There will be a celebration of Angela's life at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017, at Word of Life A/G Church. Pastor David L. Smith will be officiating.
