Mrs. Loretta Peters Harris, 83, passed away March 27, 2016 at the Kentucky River Medical Center in Jackson following a short illness. She was born August 9, 1932 in Owsley County, KY, was the daughter of the late Shelby & Jeanette Marshall Peters and was a homemaker. Mrs. Harris is survived by three sons: Mr. Patton Dale Harris & friend Ruby Callahan, Mr. Michael E. Harris & wife Rosa Lee and Mr. Donnie Harris, all of Booneville, KY. Six grandchildren: Ms. Jessica Harris & fiancée Brian Hall of Berea, KY, Mr. Jacob Harris of Harrodsburg, KY, Mrs. Brittany K. LeForce of Michigan, Mr. Michael Ray Harris of California, Mrs. Natasha L. Johnson and husband Justin of Lexington, KY & Mr. Joshua E. Harris of Booneville, KY and two great-grandchildren: Ms. Adily Grace Hall of Berea, KY & Mr. Nathaniel Michael Johnson of Lexington, KY. Also surviving are two brothers: Mr. Raymond Peters of Booneville, KY & Mr. Dewey Peters of Owenton, KY and two sisters: Mrs. Virginia Spence of McKee, KY & Mrs. Donna S. Gross of Booneville, KY. There are also a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Shelby & Jeanette Peters, one great-grandson, Toby Lee Braxton Hall, one brother: Elmer Peters and three sisters: Helen Spence, Ethel Gross and Fern Peters. Funeral services for Mrs. Hall will be held Thursday, March 31, 2016 at 1:00 PM with visitation on Wednesday evening from 6 to 9 PM all at the Searcy and Strong Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be the Rev. Kevin Baker with the burial following in the Shepherd Memorial Cemetery in Booneville, KY. The Searcy & Strong Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
