Born in Simpson County, MS, she was the daughter of the late Ulysses and Maybelle May and the widow of Ray Sullivan. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Herbert Ray Sullivan and Donald Raymond Sullivan.
Billie retired as a Crossing Guard from the City of Norfolk Public Schools after 14 years. She was a Baptist and a southern belle with a sense of style and grace who loved her family, her friends, and her independence.
Left to cherish her memory: her daughter, Terri Sullivan Johnson and husband, Henry, of Norfolk, VA; son, Billy Michael Sullivan and wife, Diane, of Cary, NC; grandchildren, Robert Michael Sullivan, Ashley Sullivan Anderson, Caitlin Sullivan Nicely, and Jonathan Ray Sullivan; great-grandchildren, Blair Anderson and Waylon Nicely.
