OBITUARY: MELISSA DELLE HERSHMAN
Melissa Delle Hershman, 49, of Thornton, died Saturday, December 9, 2017, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Hershman, following an extended illness and with her family and West Virginia Caring at her bedside.
She was born April 3, 1968, at Grafton, a daughter of the late Dale Hayes Alexander and Barbara Ann (Poling) Alexander.
Surviving are her husband, Travis Lee Hershman, three daughters, Candy Nelson and husband, Ricky, Tunnelton, Ricki Cogar and husband, William, Newburg, Raven Hershman, at home; two sons, Hunter Hershman and Walker Hershman, both at home; four grandchildren, Cyrus Tackett, Isaiah Tackett, Allyanna Cogar and Coleton Cogar; four brothers, Charles (Candy) Poling, Grafton, Virgil (Roxanne) Tacy, Buckhannon, Jeff Tacy, Philippi and Odis Dale (Becky)Alexander, Moatsville.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Hannah Lea Hershman.
Mrs. Hershman was a substitute teacher’s aid in Preston County Public Schools and worked with “Little Learners” at the Fellowsville Assembly of God.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 12, from the Fellowsville Assembly of God, 3767 George Washington Highway, Fellowsville, WV. Pastor Jason Henshaw and Pastor Charity Henshaw will officiate and interment will follow in the Cross Roads Cemetery at Tacy.
Friends may call at the Fellowsville Assembly of God from 5:00 until 9:00 P.M. on Monday and from 10:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, the funeral hour.
