Patricia "Pat" Ann Pierce Elkins, 84, of Olton, died Saturday, December 9, 2017, in Olton.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at the First Baptist Church in Olton with Brother Willis Blair and Brother David Azam officiating. Interment will follow at Center Plains Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors. The family will receive friends at Ramage Funeral Directors in Olton from 4:30-6:30 P.M., Monday, December 11, 2017.
Pat was born January 2, 1933, in Lamb County, to Clifford and Katherine (Yohner) Pierce. She grew up in Littlefield and graduated from Littlefield High School. On March 25, 1951, Pat married Gerald Elkins in Littlefield and they were married for over 66 years. They lived in Halfway and Sunnyside before moving to Olton in 1995. As a member of Sunnyside First Baptist Church, Pat was very involved in various church activities. She taught Sunday School, Bible School, and helped in every area that she was able. Pat enjoyed working with her hands as a talented painter and seamstress. She loved to read, but shopping with the girls was her favorite. She was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter, Kelcey Elkins.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Gerald Elkins of Olton, her son, Chris Elkins and his wife Sheri of Brownfield, and her daughter, Cynthia Lawson and her husband Jim of Olton. She was blessed with four granddaughters: Natalie Sims and her husband Jeremy, Whitney Paschall and her husband Dwayne, Heather Elkins-Arce and her husband Joel, Katie Elkins, and four great-grandchildren: Ashleigh Sims, Mitchell Sims, Mackenzie Sims, and Rhowen Flippin.
