Clarence E. Jackson, a retired
rural mail carrier, died 11-2-1965
Tuesday at his home in Shushan,
following a short illness.
He was born No%-ember 27,
1884, and husband of the late
Jenny Ross Jackson.
Mr. Jackson was a member
of Shushan Methodist Church
arid was serving as trustee of
the church at the time of his
death.
He was a member of the Shushan
and Wash
ington County Pomona Grange
for many years. He had done
extensive work is the centralizing
of Shushan Central
School and was a member of
the school's board of Ed. for 13
years.
Surviving are a son. John E .
of Salem; four daughters, Mrs.
M«.ry I, Hughes of Wells, Vt„
Mrs Nina J Watnins, Mrs.
Grace J. Eaton and Mrs. Eleanor
Shaw, of Shushan; 14 grandchildren
and 14 great-grand children.
