Edward W Chapman, 76 ys Norris City was found dead in his barn Sat morning, a short time after he went to put hay in the feed trough. After Mrs Chapman called him for dinner, she went to the barn and still no answer. On further investigation she found him lying on some hay in the feed room. Neighbors were hastily summoned and they found that life was extinct...Left an orphan when a mere lad he was reared to young adulthood in the home of Mr and Mrs John Carter... He was a life-long resident of Herald Prairie and Indian Creek Townships and had lived in the vicinity of Powell Church, engaged in farming...His first wife, Florence Aud (10 Aug 1867-23 Jun 1936). They were blessed with 49 yrs of wedded bliss. Leaves his second wife, Mrs Annette MeClvey Chapman, to whom he married in Feb 1939, a dau Mrs Theresa Warren of Norris City and a son Theoron, who lives in Cal and four grandchildren. Funeral services and burial were held at Lick Creek Church...
