Anne, God saw you getting weak and worn. He gently whispered, “Suffer no more come dwell with me peacefully, in my Heavenly Home.”

After a lengthy illness on Sunday, May 31, 1987, Hunter Memorial Hospital, Teulon. Anne Smotrycki aged 74 years beloved wife of John Smotrycki of Komarno, Manitoba.

Born September 25, 1912, in Komarno. Anne had lived in Komarno district all her life.

Surviving besides her husband John are two sons Rudy (Jo-Ann) of Domain, Fred (Jo-Ann) of Winnipeg, three daughters Sandra (Walter) Wishnowski, Helen (Edward) Dziedzic, Donna Hunter all of Winnipeg. 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Two sisters Mary Watowich of Winnipeg, Stephania Kwasnick of Winnipeg, nieces, and nephew’s, numerous other relatives and friends.

Prayers will be on Wednesday, June 3 at 7:30 p.m. in the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel in Teulon. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 4 at 10:30 a.m.in Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church. Interment to follow in St. George’s Cemetery, Komarno.

If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Goodwin Lodge, Teulon.

The family wishes to express sincere thanks to the staff at Goodwin Lodge for their wonderful care and kindness during Mrs. Smotrycki stay at Goodwin Lodge. A special thanks to the nursing staff at Hunter Memorial Hospital especially Lou Rebizont and Nora Coverdale.

Pallbearers are her six grandsons John, Brian, Dale and Jamie Smotrycki, Richard Wishnowski, and Larry Dziedzic.
