ELWOOD, Kan.
Helen Jean (Mosser) Bennett, 76, Elwood, died Monday, Dec. 5, 2005. Helen was born on Feb.
14, 1929, in Missouri to Edward and Valeda (Smith) Mosser. She lived most of her life in Elwood and was a housewife and foster mother: Helen was a member of the Elwood United Community Church. She married J.C. Bennett on Sept. 17, 1954, in Savannah, Mo.
He preceded her in death in 1991- Helen also was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include two daughters, Sherry Bennett of Elwood and Debbie Bennett of Hopkins, stepson, Jack Bennett of Piattsburg, stepdaughter, Joyce Cordonier of St. Joseph; brother, Harold Mosser of St. Joseph; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Memorial service: 2 p.m.
Thursday, Dec, 8, at Elwood United Community Church. There will be no viewing or public visitation. The body has been cremated under the direction of the Harman-Rohde Funeral Home in Wathena, Kan. Memorials: Elwood United Community Church.
