ROCKY MOUNT James Gregory "Greg" Colbert, age 59, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2017. Born in Edgecombe County, NC on October 30, 1958, he was the son of the late James Edward Colbert and Ponola Faircloth Colbert. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Bruce Edward Colbert.
Greg loved music, especially playing his guitar. He had a love for history and loved participating in Civil War Reenactments. Greg enjoyed every single day and never met a stranger. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him and loved him.
Greg leaves behind to cherish his memory, aunt, Dorothy Vann of Virginia Beach, VA; uncle, William Smith of Rocky Mount; several special cousins; special friends, Mike Naron and Larry Bone; and his two dogs, Ginger and Fuzzy.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Pineview Cemetery with Mike Naron officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, December 8, 2017 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1130 N.
