Booneville, KY – Nancy Gilbert, age 89, widow of Roscoe Gilbert, passed away April 25, 2019 at the Owsley County Health Care Center in Booneville, KY.
Nancy was born March 16, 1930 in Beattyville, KY, a daughter to the late Lewis and Girlie (Brandenburg) Cooper. She was of the Christian faith and a member of the Apostolic Soul Searching in Jesus Name Church in Breathitt County, KY.
She is survived by 1 daughter; Deborah Elaine Gilbert Creech of Booneville, Kentucky, 1 special niece; Sheila Shouse, various nieces and nephews and many other loving family members and friends.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Roscoe Gilbert, her son; William Edward Gilbert, one grandson; Christopher Goodman, 4 brothers; Alfred, Clarence, Willie and Ance Cooper, 1 sister; Ercie Cole.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 29, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Booneville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 29, 2019 at 1:00 PM at the Booneville Funeral Home with Pastors Chad Baker and Ron Roberts officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Shepherds Memorial Cemetery located in the Booneville, KY.
