Former Area Resident Dies

A former resident of the Lutie and Nicholson communities, Mrs. Charles W. Aydelotte, died Saturday, Jan 25 in an Amarillo hospital. Mrs Aydelotte, who will be remembered by many as Erlene Whitson, was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Roe Whitson.

Funeral services were conducted at the Central Church of Christ in Amarillo Monday and burial was in Llano Cemetery.

Mrs. Aydetotte lived in Amarillo a year and a half and before that at Arlington. She was born May 14, 1899 In Barry Alabama.

Surviving are her husband of the home; a son, Bow Mooney of Des Moines, Iowa; and five brothers and four sisters: E.D. Whitson and J. M. Whitson of Amarillo; T. B. Whitson and Stanley Whitson of the Lutie community; J. C. Whitson of Fort Worth; Mrs. Belle Reynolds and Mrs. Hattie Stanley of Lubbock; Mrs. S. P. Day and Mrs. D. W. Kelly of Amarillo. Three grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.

Attending the funeral from iere were Mr. and Mrs. Walter Deger, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Roark, and Mr. and Bill Knoll.
