Kenneth Warner Blake, age 101, of Sherman, husband of the late Marion Snyder Blake, passed away peacefully on Dec. 5, 2017 two days after celebrating his 101st birthday. He was born in Worcester, MA on Dec. 3, 1916, to the late Irving and Kate Dyson Blake. Kenneth served his country proudly in the US Army during WWII. He was a textile engineer having been employed by Cherokee-Spindale, retiring in 1986. Ken enjoyed collecting coins and stamps and loved reading and puzzles.
Survivors include his devoted children, a son: John Blake of Wilton, two daughters: Jeanne Fivaz of Lawrenceville, GA, and Jayne Flynn and her husband Robert of Sherman, two loving grandchildren: Jennifer Flynn and her husband Supreet Dangore, and Brian Flynn and his wife Cynthia, three great-grandchildren: Lily, Blake and Kyle.
Funeral services will be held on Sat., Dec. 9, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the Bouton Funeral Home, 31 West Church St., Georgetown. Friends may greet the family on Sat. morning at the funeral home from 9 - 11 a.m. prior to services. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Wilton.
