Violet was born Sept. 15, 1927 in Chicago, Ill. She graduated from Harris College of Nursing in 1948 and married Tom E. Allen in 1950. Violet was a member of the Womens Club where she served as President and was also a member of various garden clubs. She always answered to a favor as "sure", whether it be sewing, painting (inside or out), cooking, baby or day sitting or organizing she accepted and did it with a smile. She was always positive even in her last days.
Violet was preceded in death by her husband, Tom E. Allen.
Survivors: Children, Scott and wife, Barbara and their children, Kristin, Meredith, Megan and John Eric; Ray and wife, LeaAnne, Kara Wilson, and husband, Scott and their children, Collin, Ryan and Erin.
