Eula "Mrs. Y" Jones
Mrs. Eula C. Hizine Jones, better known as "Mrs. Y", was born in Cordele, GA to the late Love Hizine and Eula Hizine. She attended elementary school in Cordele, GA. She retired from doing labor work. She moved from Bunnell, FL to Daytona Beach and remained until her death.
She leaves to mourn her passing two sons, Johnnie Jones (Dorothy), Daytona Beach and Eugene Jones, Bunnell, FL; six daughters, Mary Rutledge, Martha Archie, Fredia Jones, all of Daytona Beach, Lillie Pearl Davis (Homer) and Christine Jones, Rochester, NY, and Evonne Rhodes (Melvin), England AR; a brother, Tom Hizine, Rochester, NY; a sister, Bernice Atkins, Daytona Beach; 41 grand children; 78 great grandchildren; 35 great-great grandchildren; 4 great-great-great grandchildren, 3-6 generations; Caretaker Mrs. Sherry Rozier; God daughters, Dorothy Roscoe and Ethelene Garrett; and a host of nieces, nephews and sorrowing friends.
Calling hours will be 5-7:30 pm on Friday, December 8th at Herbert Thompson Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 11 am Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Mt. Zion AME Church. The interment will take place at Masonic Cemetery in Bunnell, FL.
