Robert Wilson "Brock" Alexander was the son of William and Mary McReynolds Alexander. He was married to Lydia Carter on 8 Oct 1878 who was born 8 October 1857 and passed away on 18 May 1883. He later married Phoebe Anna Hughes on 17 Dec 1885. She was born 17 Apr 1864 and died Nov 1945. They had two sons: Edward of Hobart, OK and Clyde of Golden, IL. He was the last of 13 children, six brothers and six sisters.

His funeral service was held where he was a member, the Mt. Horeb Presbyterian Church (near Golden, IL) which was founded by Mitchell Alexander and his father, William.

Six nephews served as casket bearers: Charles Walker, Robert Walker, James Walker, Theodore McCreery, William Alexander and J.N. Doran. Burial was in Mt. Horeb Cemetery.

He was survived by his wife, Anna, two sons and eight grandchildren and a number of nephews and nieces and a host of friends.
