RUSSELL DEWONE JOHNSON, age 56, of New Market, TN went to be with our Lord and Savior on December 5, 2017 at St. Thomas.

He was born on May 29, 1961 to Janice and Ernest Johnson in Jefferson City, TN.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Nikita Johnson, and grandmother, Elnora Mattison.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Sherrie Neal Johnson; daughter, Bianca Johnson; son, Tony Semlak; step-sons, Robert Neal and Travis Neal; grandsons, Jeremiah Johnson and Anthony Semlak; brother, Reginald Johnson (Jennifer Johnson); sisters, Tammy Angel (Wayne Angel); Tina Johnson and Trina Camara; special aunt and uncle, Sandra and Ross Cunningham; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

And he was known as Rusty “The Chocolate Cowboy.”

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Farrar Funeral Home with Rev. Bernice Osborne, Rev. Dr. Andrew Smith and Minister G. Kendall Mattison officiating. Graveside interment service will follow immediately at Westview Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.

The family wishes to thank everyone for all their prayers and special thanks to University of TN Cardiology department and St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Farrar Funeral Home to help with expenses.
