Wade C Hall, 91, of Rural Valley (Cowanshannock Twp), died Tuesday, Jan 20, 2004 at Worthington at Adams.

He was born Dec 14, 1912 in Cowanshannock Twp to William L and Lela (Reefer) Hall.

A 1931 graduate of Rural Valley High School; he earned his teachers certificate in elementary education and his bachelor of science in secondary education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He earned his masters from the University of Pittsburgh with the following certifications: elementary principal, secondary principal; supervising principal and letter of eligibility, superintendents commission.

Mr Hall's teaching career included the following positions: an elementary teacher for Cowanshannock Township; a secondary teacher for Cowanshannock Township and Kittanning Union; elementary principal for Cowanshannock Township; secondary principal for Kittanning Union; supervising principal for Shannock Valley Union; assistant superintendent of elementary education for the Armstrong School District; and metric instructor for Pennsylvania State University.

An Army veteran, he served during World War II.

He was a lifelong member of the Rural Valley Presbyterian Church and served as an elder.

His memberships included the Cosgrove Post 523 of the American Legion in Rural Valley; life member of the National Education Association; US Metric Association Inc; The Pennsylvania Council of Teachers of Mathematics; The National Council of Teachers of Mathematics; Pennsylvania State Education Association; Pennsylvania Department of Supervision and Curriculum; Metric Speakers Bureau of Pennsylvania; Metric Speakers National Bureau, Washington, DC; Pennsylvania Elementary Principals Association; Pennsylvania Secondary School Principals Association; American Association of School Administrators; Alpha Omega Geographers Honor Society; The Salvation Army Service Unit; and The Early American National Society.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Mae (Hoffman) Hall whom he married June 11, 1936; one son, Joseph E Hall of Michigan; one daughter, Mrs James (Mitzi) Scarnati of Wexford; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Casper and Parks Hall; and two sisters, Elizabeth Whitacre and Sara Schrecengost.

Friends of Wade C Hall, 91, of Rural Valley (Cowanshannock Township), who died Jan 20, 2004, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm Friday at the Carson/Boyer Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11am Saturday at the Rural Valley Presbyterian Church with his pastor, the Rev Dr William J McConnell, officiating. Burial will be in the Rural Valley Cemetery. Arrangements by Carson/Boyer.
