Helen M. Newton, 97, of Harrisburg passed away Monday, December 04, 2017 in Arden Courts of Susquehanna.


Born February 10, 1920 in Pattersonville, she was daughter of the late Peter F. Dillman, Sr. and Martha (Benedict) Dillman.


Helen retired from the Navy Ships Parts Control Center, Mechanicsburg as a Supervisor of the Electronic Accounting Machine Processing Unit of Payroll.


She was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church, Harrisburg.


Helen enjoyed sewing, baking, card and board games, travel, camping, and her grandsons.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Myles R. Newton; her sister: Jane; and, her brothers: John Dillman, Robert Dillman, and Peter Dillman.


Helen is survived by her daughters: Marsha Bowman and Susan Hampton; her sons: Craig Newton and Gary Newton; her grandsons: Bryan and Bill; and, her sister: Lorraine Yocum.


A Viewing will be held from 10:00 - 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 09, 2017 in Epiphany Lutheran Church, 1100 Colonial Road, Harrisburg. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 AM.


Interment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 11:00 AM.
