Karen was born August 3, 1938 in Superior, Nebraska to parents Eldon Leander LeMay and Danellda Mae Harper.
Karen graduated high school in 1956 from Great Bend, Kansas. She was then married to Jim Copeland on October 14, 1957 in Raton, New Mexico. Jim preceded her in death on March 21, 2001.
Karen enjoyed beading, making necklaces and jewelry and watching HGTV. She also loved her dogs, Kaci and Kiera.
Karen is survived by her son James “Chris” Copeland wife Maria of Claremore, Oklahoma and grandchildren Mason, Spencer, Conner, Haven and Justin Copeland.
She is preceded in death by her husband Jim Copeland; two sons Curtis and Craig Copeland and a sister, Connie McGill.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Cremation is under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.
