Joanne Campbell, age 69 of Monroe, died at 9:10 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29th at Magnum Care of Monroe. She had been in declining health for five years.
Born May 18, 1948 in Hamilton, Ohio, Joanne was the daughter of the late Cecil and Carolyn (Collins) Campbell. She was employed as a bartender for over 25 years in Southeast Detroit. Joanne had an extremely sweet and caring love for family and friends.
Joanne is survived by four children: Brian Hooker of Jacksonville, Florida; Shane Hooker of Jacksonville, Florida; Douglas (Mary) Hooker of Taylor, Michigan; and Brandy Campbell of Monroe. Also surviving are a sister, Phyllis (Larry) DeSloover of Dundee; two brothers, Fred (Lucy) Campbell of Malaga, New Jersey and Tom (Lisa) Campbell of Spring Hill, Florida; and six grandchildren: John, Todd, Dazsa, Domonique, Madysen and Amanda.
In addition to her parents, Joanne was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Sherry Campbell.
In accordance with her wishes, no visitation or services will be scheduled. A private family gathering in her memory will be held at a later date. Rupp Funeral Home is assisting the family.
