John EMMONS, the widely known old farmer of Newcastle township, died Wednesday morning at 3 o'clock aged nearly 78 years. Deceased was one of the early settlers of the county, having come here in the early forties,and developed the EMMONS farm from the forest. He was the father of nine children, all of whom are living, and leaves with them the wife and mother who was but a month younger than her husband. The funeral was held at Bloomingsburg at 11:00 o'clock Thursday morning and the remains laid to rest at Reesters grave yard.
