Roger Robert Barnes, chef/owner of Haysler House Bed & Breakfast Inn, Clinton, MO, died suddenly on Sunday, December 3, 2017. Roger was born on August 15, 1945, in Bremerton, Washington to Robert and Ginette [Roussille] Barnes. Roger grew up in Northern California, graduating with a Bachelors from UC Berkeley, and a MBA from San Francisco State. He was married to Annette Elizabeth Milne in London, England, on June 12, 1971 and they enjoyed 46 years of married bliss! He worked in the computer industry for over 30 years and then became a serial entrepreneur, all the while keeping up with his passion for architecture. Roger enjoyed the finer things of life including great food and wine, a good Cuban cigar, golfing, traveling and watching Oklahoma University football. He was a true Renaissance man, a great husband and a wonderful father.Roger is survived by his wife, Annette of the home; his son, Etienne John Roussille Barnes, San Jose, CA, his daughter, Yvette Jacqueline Barnes and her husband, Nick Alex, San Jose, CA; his brother, Andrew Barnes (Sandy), Denver, CO; his brother-in-law, Graham Milne (Leonora), Harrogate, Yorkshire, England and two nephews, Nick Milne and Matt Milne. Roger was preceded in death by his parents. The family will receive visitors at Consalus Funeral Home at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 8, 2017. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 2:00 PM. Family and Friends may send flowers or donate in memoriam to the American Heart Association and left in care of Consalus Funeral Home, 209 S. 2nd, Clinton, MO 64735.
