Loretta Theresa Ford (Sunshine) 62, of Jacksonville Florida entered into eternal peace on November 27, 2017. Loretta was born in Minooka, IL on October 17, 1955. The Daughter of the late Ms. Yolanda Mendoza and Mr. Francis Baldenegro.
Loretta a long time resident of Mandarin, Florida, made many longtime friends, associates and clients. Loretta enjoyed working as a Landscaper for her own Company, L’s Yard Design for over 10 years. She was a Proud Certified Preschool Teacher for over 10 years who enjoyed her classes of children to the fullest. She enjoyed family, gardening, cooking and Poker. One of her shared passions was helping others and her grandchildren. She loved to entertain frequently, she opened her doors to all family and friends who traveled to Jacksonville, Florida to visit and create wonderful memories with the Ford Family. Her legacy and Welcoming Spirit lives on through her photography and video footage for generations to come.
She was a proud supporter of the US NAVY and affiliated Military services for all Veterans. She was actively involved in Volunteer activities within her own community and with such organizations such as Cypress Hammock Homeowners Association, St. Jude’s Hospital, Salvation Army, Wounded Warrior Project, Vietnam Veterans of America Drop off centers including emphasis on collecting used eyeglasses for Homeless Veterans, Visions for Veterans Art Programs, Senior Companions Volunteers of America, local Hospice, and a Multitude of donation centers for the homeless and affiliated kitchen pantries.
A Loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother, Loretta is survived by Jay Ford, Tanisha Mireles, Emmanuel Gutierrez, Nathan Stapleton, Jessica A Ford, Tiffany L Ford and Jodi Ford. Two Sisters: Annette Smith and Patricia (Bo) Baldenegro, one Brother Michael Baldenegro, 10 Grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Loretta is preceded in death by her Parents Yolanda Mendoza and Francis Baldenegro her Siblings Alexander Fernandez, Rick Baldenegro, Mark Baldenegro, and her Sister Lisa Fink (Baldenegro). Her Son Ebodio Vincentte III.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Friday, December 1, 2017 in Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home of Mandarin.
