Shelby - Ms. Fannie Mae Jackson, 71, of 1217 Webb Drive, Shelby, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2017, at Carolinas HealthCare System-Cleveland in Shelby, N.C. to the late A.J. and Lizzie Montford Jackson.

Ms. Jackson loved to read and shop. She loved to have a great time with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Howard and Mamie Jackson and John and Marietta Monford.

She is survived by one son, Anthony "Tony" Bernard Abraham of Shelby; two grandchildren, Morris Abraham and Dontavius Abraham both of Shelby; three great-grandchildren, Ashanti, Asia and Auston Abraham all of Shelby; nine siblings, Sadie Pryor (the late Larry) of Shelby, Iris Jackson of Los Angeles, California, Samuel Jackson (Pam) of Shelby, Thomas Jackson of Kings Mountain, Kenneth Jackson (Alma) of Kings Mountain, Mamie Jackson, Beverly Bristol (Perry), Ray Jackson (the late Bridget) and Annette Ross all of Shelby; a close friend, Elane Stokes of Shelby and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., on Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017, at New Ellis Chapel Baptist Church, with the Rev. A.A. Ponder officiating.

Burial will take place at Sunset Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1 until 1:30 p.m., on Saturday, and at other times at 508 Durham St., Shelby.
