Genevieve C. Jean Yankielun, 93, of Dickson City, died peacefully Wednesday afternoon at Green Ridge Health Care Center, Scranton, following an illness.
Born in Dickson City, daughter of the late Francis and Frances Yankielun, she was educated in Dickson City schools and was a member of St. Marys Visitation Church in Dickson City. Before retiring, she was employed for many years at Western Electric Co. in New Jersey.
She enjoyed sewing, needlework, crocheting and crafts.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She also was preceded in death by three brothers, Norbert, Alexander and Edward; and one sister, Lillian Zjawin.
The funeral will be from the John J. Turko & Sons Funeral Home, Dickson City, with Mass of Christian Burial in St. Marys Visitation Church, Dickson City. Interment, parish cemetery, Dickson City.
