Judith “Judy” Anne Worley Pate, 76, of Asheville, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 4, 2017 at her residence, after an extended illness. She was surrounded by her loving family.

A native of Haywood County she is the daughter of the late Clifford and Artha Gentry Worley. She worked as a nurse in Buncombe County before retiring. She was a loving wife, loving mother and loving grandmother.

Survivors include her husband of fifty-five years, George Lewis Pate; son, Terry Pate of Black Mountain; daughters, Janet Lyles and Tamra Price, both of Swannanoa; grandson, Cameron Lyles who was her pride and joy; brother, Willard Worley of Swannanoa; sisters Ruth Payne (Glen) and Sarah Phillips (Dennis) all of Candler; sister-in-law, June Watkins of Fletcher; nephew, Jeff Payne of Clayton and niece, Tina Robinson of Black Mountain.

A funeral service will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery. Rev. Bobby Shehan will officiate and burial will follow.
In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Care Partners Hospice Home Care, P.O. Box 25338, Asheville, NC, 28813.
