WAUNAKEE-Dorothy Ann Koch, age 86, died on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, at Sienna Crest in Waunakee.

Dorothy was born in Stoughton on Nov. 25, 1931, to George and Anna (Harried) Brown. Following her mother's death, when she was the age of 9, she was cared for by Arnold and Olive Pickarts. She graduated from Stoughton High School in 1950.

She married James Koch on Nov. 12, 1955, and he preceded her in death on April 25, 2011.

Dorothy was employed at Central Colony for over 18 years and retired in 1997. Dorothy enjoyed reading, cooking, playing Bingo, watching baseball and playing euchre. She was a member of St John's Catholic Church in Waunakee

Survivors include her six sons, Gary, Larry (Marie), Mark (Bob Manion), Dan (Lori), Mike, and Dennis; 4 grandchildren, Keith, Danielle, Ashley (Mike) Keller, and Lindsey (Matt) Crosby; and her sister, Delores Lausted. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; brothers, George and Jim; sister, Jean; aunt and uncle, Arnold and Olive; and brother-in-law, Wes Lausted.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Dec. 8, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at St John's Catholic Church, 209 South St., Waunakee. Msgr. James Gunn will officiate. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.

The family would like to thank the caring staff at Sienna Crest for the care and compassion shown to their mother.
