Glenn Elmer Moser 83, Middletown, died Monday December 4, 2017 at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Shirley Musser Moser whom he married in April 1955.
Born in Frederick on November 28, 1934 he was a son of the late Clark C. Moser and Hulda Frost Moser Holter. He was a lifelong farmer and started farming on his family's home farm in 1957, was a member of the Pleasant View Church of the Brethren all of his life. He served on the board at the church. He was also a member of the Farm Bureau, Maryland-Virginia Milk Producers and for member of the Southern States board.
Surviving besides his wife of sixty two years are four children; Kenneth (Becky) of Tampa Fl, Dennis (Sheri) Moser of Falling Waters, WV, Danny (Pam) Moser of Middletown and Kathy (Tom) Stowers of Middletown, twelve grandchildren; Megan (Matt Johnson), Allison (Nick Green), Courtney, Lee (Lynette), Brooks, Tyler (Theresa), Amber (Travis), Marisa (Steven), Brandon (Chastity), Katie, Amy (fiancee Barett), Wade Stowers and eighteen great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind one sister, Alma Dade of Jefferson, one sister-in-law Marie Moser of Minnesota, two godchildren Jason Wilson and Taffie Jo Wilson as well as a special child care giver to Grant Ashton.
He was predeceased by his brother Clark William "Bill" Moser.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 8 from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. at the Donald B Thompson Funeral Home, 31 E. Main Street, Middletown. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday December 9 from the Pleasant View Church of the Brethren near Burkittsville. Rev. Tim May will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pleasant View Church of the Brethren c/o Alma Dade, 4805 Old Middletown Rd. Jefferson, MD 21755.
