Services for Lucy Long age 89, of Palestine will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 8, 2017 at Bailey & Foster Chapel.

Private burial will be held at a later time. Arrangements have been entrusted and provided by Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.

Ms. Lucy went to be with her children after a brief illness, Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler. She was born February 5, 1928 in Crockett, Texas to Henry Chapman and Emma Coburn Chapman. Mrs. Long was cook and worked in the service industry.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sons, Lonnie Long and Malcolm Long and a daughter Gloria Ann Goodwin.

She is survived by sons, Mike Long and spouse Lori Tipton of Palestine, and Charles Long and wife Allison Long of Benton, LA., a sister Lula Matthews of Palestine and a brother Pete Chapman of Conroe, twelve grandchildren Annette Margaret White of Merkel, TX., Tabitha Marie Franklin, of Palestine, Gerrydon Goodwin of Palestine, Charles Gunner Long of Kingston, AZ., Amber Lynn Boss of Denton, Anthony Blake Presley of Palestine, Carson Dye of Benton, LA., Alexis Danielle Long of Boston, MA., Michael White of Killeen and Taylor Nicole Tipton of Palestine.
