Elsinore, Utah

Lewis William Sharp, 66, passed away at his home in Elsinore after a lingering illness on April 16, 2017. He was born June 12, 1950 in Glendale, California to James Albert and Terrisa Rosalee Murrell Sharp. He married Judy Alice Clark, March 20, 1971 in Buena Park, California. They were later sealed in the St. George Temple.

He was in the Sea Scouts and enjoyed his time sailing. Lewis was a carpenter, welder, a union rep and a "jack of all trades". He would always have several projects going at the same time. He was never afraid of trying anything, life was an adventure to live.

Lewis was a great fan of the classic series Star Trek. He loved to "Boldly Go Where No Man Had Gone Before". Impromptu road trips with the family were memorable and great adventures. He was an amazing grandfather and strived to be a better dad everyday of his life.

He had a passion for camping and being outdoors. He and Judy were camp ground hosts in the Dixie National Forrest.

His Church service included being a ward clerk, working in the cannery and service on the church farm.

His survivors include his wife, Judy of Elsinore; children: Jan Wolf, Saratoga Springs; Laura (Geof) Brookman, Sevier; Michael (Tiffany) Sharp and Daniel Sharp, both Las Vegas, NV; Joann (David) Adams, Joseph; 19 grandchildren; siblings: Janine (Doug) White, Nampa, ID; James (Mageya) Sharp, CA; Jane (Leslie) Maxfield, Tooele; David (Lisa) Sharp, Richfield; Terry (Sandy) Sharp, Salt Lake City.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Colleen Sharp.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Elsinore Ward Chapel, 50 North Center. Friends may call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Magleby Mortuary, 50 South 100 West in Richfield or on Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the ward chapel in Elsinore. Burial will be in the Monroe City Cemetery.
