Janet Sue Ash, 72, of Centralia, passed away Monday afternoon, December 4, 2017, at St. Anthony's Medical Center, in St. Louis.
She was born December 26, 1944, in Alton, Illinois, the daughter of Harry and Wilma Margaret (Kline) Carson. On January 9, 1965, she married Larry R. Ash, and he survives.
She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, and started the prayer ministry there, supporting many in prayer. Mrs. Ash was a strong advocate for missions, and she loved making cards and sending them to people. She worked at Hudelson Baptist Children's Home, and enjoyed volunteering with many organizations, including Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, Vacation Bible School, Girls in Action, and Sunday School. She loved Jesus and her family, and enjoyed quilting.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Beverly Kuhn.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Ash will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 9, 2017, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, with Rev. Jason Webb officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, December 8, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Osborn Funeral Home in Dix. Memorials may be made to the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church for the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, and will be received at the service, or by mail to the Osborn Funeral Home, P.O.
