Michael Joseph Maxwell, 64, of Heyworth, passed away at 8:19 pm. Nov. 28, 2017, at his home.

He was born Oct. 5, 1953 in Bloomington to Wayne C. and Elizabeth J. Burns Maxwell.

Survivors include his mother, Elizabeth J. Maxwell, Heyworth; one sister, Cecilia E. (Terry Wise) Prochnow, Heyworth; two nieces, Nicole Prochnow, Normal, and Brittany Wise, Bloomington and his caregiver, Jeff Prochnow, Heyworth.

He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, John P. Maxwell.

Michael had worked at The Eureka Co., Bloomington for 22 years and Walmart, Normal, for 10 years. He was a member of the Machinist’s Local 1000, Bloomington, and past member of the Sons of the American Legion, Heyworth.

He loved baseball and was fan of the Cubs and the Bears. He played football at Heyworth High School and was a part of the team that won the Sangamon Valley Conference title in 1971.

He had a big heart and would do anything for anyone.
