RICHMOND, Ind. Mae King, age 88, of Richmond, Indiana, died Sunday, December 3, 2017, at Reid Health after a short illness.
Born August 31, 1929, in McKee, Kentucky, to Overton Tussey and Mary Smith, Mae lived in this community most of her life. She worked at Miller Cafeteria.
Survivors include her daughter, Pamela (Kenny) Schuley of French Lick, Indiana; nieces, including special niece and caregiver, Jean Pugh of Richmond; and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Ray King, who died on September 28, 2008; son, Michael King, who died in 1994; and grandson, Newton King, who died in 2005.
Visitation for Mae King will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 7, 2017, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 7, 2017, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Rev. Ted Chalk officiating. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery.
