Arthur Blair Gillespie was born near Swinton, Stoddard County, Missouri the son of S.E."Gus" Gillespie and Edna Clodfelter Gillespie. On November 24, 1935 he and Lela Faye Burge were married at Leora. They had 5 children. Blair as he was called, was involved in an auto accident on January 2, 1954 about 2 miles north of Bloomfield, Missouri on highway 25 and died in the early morning hours of January 6, 1954. Blair was my father.
