Leona Mae Crews, 96, of Richwood, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 03, 2017, at Summersville Extended Care, Summersville, WV, after a long illness.

Leona was born on October 19, 1921, in Burnsville, WV, to the late Manderville and Genevieve Harris Godfrey. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of Little Laurel Baptist Church, Richwood, WV; she was a true Christian lady and would always say, “I’m ready when the Lord is ready”. She worked at the Nicholas County Nursing and Rehab Center as a cook. She was always happy and enjoyed playing bingo, cooking and doing puzzles. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Orval Crews and 6 children, Genevieve Taylor, Geraldine McCoy, Joyce Woods, Linda Crews, Alice Humphrey and Charles Crews.

She is survived by her three daughters, Mildred Seabolt, Fenwick, WV, Helen Holcomb, Richwood, WV and Marsha and husband, Terry Lewis, Richwood, WV; son, Robert Crews, Warren, OH and Edward Ward, Richwood, WV; 28 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, 27 great-great-grandchildren and 10 great great great grandchildren.
