Geneva Times, Monday, August 10, 1970:
ALOQUIN - Deborah Sparks, 11,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Sparks
of Aloquin, died last night in Strong
Memorial Hospital, Rochester, as the
results of injuries suffered when she was
hit by a truck on July 30 in the Town of
Hopewell.
Funeral services will be at the convenience
of the family.
Friends may call from 7-9 Tuesday at
the Halsted Funeral Home, 19 N. Main
St, Manchester. Contributions may be
made to the Marcus Whitman Swim
Program in lieu of flowers.
Deborah, a seventh grade student at
the Whitman school, was born Oct 12,
1958 in Canandaigua. She was a member
of the school's chorus and had been
selected as a member of the all-county
chorus last year. She was also a member
of the Aloquin Methodist Church choir.
Besides her parents, she is survived
by five brothers, Arnold of Boston, A-1C
Michael of Hollbrook AFB, Ariz,
Daniel, Andrew and Matthew, all at
home; five sisters, Virginia of Canandaigua,
Mrs. Rebecca Olexa of Penn
Yan, Penelope, Mistelle and Lorinda, all
at home; and her paternal grandparents,
Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Sparks Sr.
of Rochester.
