Colleen C. Schneider, age 86, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Monday, December 4, 2017 at Rivers Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Colleen was born on December 29, 1930 in Two Rivers to the late Charles Mrotek and Cecelia VanderBusch Mrotek. She graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1948. On October 28, 1950, Colleen married Robert Schneider at Wesley United Methodist Church in Manitowoc. Robert preceded her in death on January 2, 2015. Colleen followed Jesus all of her life and studied the Bible until the day of her passing. At the time of her death she was an active member of Lakeshore United Methodist Church. Over many years Colleen tirelessly volunteered with various church groups, including United Methodist Women, Church Women United, and the Caring Ministry, holding many leadership roles. Her family and friends were blessed to receive beautiful personal notes and prayers which she never failed to send others in times of need. Colleen was an outstanding cook who loved to entertain guests. She was hostess of many wonderful holidays and social gatherings her friends and family will always remember and cherish. Colleen and Bob spent much of their retirement in Door County with their children and grandchildren enjoying their company. Her sons and grandchildren were the light of her life and her beautiful legacy will live on through them.

Survivors include Colleen's three sons, Brad Schneider and significant other Michelleh, Two Rivers; Greg (Paula) Schneider, Manitowoc; and Jeff (Jolene) Schneider, Neenah; 12 grandchildren, Stephanie, Scott, Neil, Anne, Brian, William, Amanda, Jackson, Caitlin, Clayton, Lucas, and Arnold; 10 great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Jeanette Mrotek and Gladys Schneider; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Colleen was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Cecelia Mrotek; husband, Robert; brother, Joseph Mrotek; father-in-law and mother-in-law, William and Arnelda Schneider; and two brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law, William Schneider, Jr. and Douglas (Beverly) Schneider.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 11, 2017 at Lakeshore United Methodist Church, 411 Reed Avenue, Manitowoc. Rev. Carly Kuntz will officiate with burial to take place at Evergreen Cemetery. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel. The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11 a.m. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com

The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, North 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
