Linda Carpenter, age 69, of Gatesville, passed away Monday, December 4, 2017 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Linda was born on August 6, 1948 in Wichita Falls, to the late Jack and Jo Carpenter. She grew up in Wichita Falls and Post. She moved to Gatesville in 2002 and worked at Iron Mountain Recycling. She enjoyed her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Otto Woods, II; son, Robby Cain; and a grandson, Joshua Cain.

Linda is survived by her daughters, Tammy Chrisner and husband, Richard, Windy Hediger, Angela Muff and husband, Matt; sons, Mark Cain, Shane Woods, Toby Barnett and wife, Mallorie, Jason Barnett; brother, Ricky Carpenter; 19 grandchildren, Frankie Castanon, Tyler Ogden, Hunter Barnett, Shay Lynn McDonald, Bradan Barnett, Chloe Patterson, Alianna Chrisner, Dylan Chrisner, Journey Garrett, Paydon Garrett, Kalie Muff, Kolten Muff, Kamreigh Muff, Keegan Sue Brooks Barnett, Meagan Cain, Seth Cain, Colton Barnett, Gunner Barnett, and Faith Barnett.
