Dan was the oldest son of Wesley and Myrtice Flory Hale, deceased, and is also survived by his two brothers: James (Bo) Hale, William (Bill) Hale, (Mary), Sisters: Brenda Adams, and Becky (Wesley) Smith; sisters-in-law, Sue (Roy)Clark and Sherry (Larry)Reppond; four grandchildren, Kelli(Brad) Marks, Nikki Garner, Kacie Phillips, and Nathan Hale; 6 great grandchildren: Alana and Sidney Hale, Corbin and Silas McKenzie, Caden and Kelson Hale, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and his long time, most loyal companion with four legs, Molly.
In his earlier years, Dan spent 8 years in the Army as a Staff Sergeant, and returned to Arkansas in 1963. He then went into the logging business with his two brothers.
After that, he traveled the Country as an Electrical Engineer for United Conveyer. He later returned to the timber business as a contractor, and that was where he retired, yet continued to be in the timber industry till he retired for good, but never lost the fever for the timber business.
Dan was an avid hunter, and outdoorsman, and enjoyed “cruising timber.”
Pallbearers will be his nephews: Randy, Chris, and Bruce Hale, Terry, Tony, and Tracy Clark and Mick Handloser. Honorary pallbearers: Roger Clark and Cody Hale.
Visitation will be held at 9:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan, with funeral service at 10:00 A.M. with Pastor Vance Nutt officiating. Burial to follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Sheridan.
