Shirley McGaughey Hogan died Sunday, December 3, 2017 in Gulf Breeze, Florida. She was 80 years old.

Shirley was born in Hickory Ridge, Arkansas to Leonard and Eva McGaughey on June 12, 1937. She encouraged her children to be the individuals they wanted to be and took great delight in her family. She had a great sense of humor and was an avid reader. Shirley played the piano, organ and loved all music. Shirley always had at least one furry friend. She loved pets, most lately, cats. Shirley was a member of the Cokesbury Methodist Church in Pensacola, Florida.

Survivors are her son, Jim Wilson of Jonesboro, Arkansas, daughters, Carol Gossman (Tim) of Gulf Breeze, Florida, and Kimberly Wilson (Gina) of Memphis, Tennessee, grandchildren, Molly (Henry), Sam (Bethany) and three adorable great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Eva McGaughey, siblings and oldest son.
