Ronald Brent Parker, 57, endearingly known by his friends and family as "Ron" passed away early Friday morning, December 1, 2017 in Denton, Texas, after recently being diagnosed with cancer. He was born on August 5, 1960 in Denton, Texas to Billy Sims and Peggy Elaine (Baxter) Epps.

Ron was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, attending the Gainesville ward in Gainesville, TX. Ron led a life committed to the service of others. He had a strong testimony of the Gospel and our Savior Jesus Christ. He graduated from Denton High and was self -employed as a HVAC technician; however, his ability to fix or work on anything had no limit. Ron was a dedicated father, grandfather, son, brother, and uncle. His life was centered around family and friends. Ron loved all outdoor activities, especially hunting and fishing.

He is preceded in death by his father, Billy Parker, step-father, Milton Epps, and brother, Alan Wayne Parker.

Ronald is survived by his mother, Peggy Baxter of Collinsville, TX, daughter, Brooke (Jared) Barr of Krum, TX, sons, Bobby Parker of Sanger, TX, Ryan (Tamara) Parker of Pagosa Springs, CO, sisters, Wauniece (Mike) Dewberry of DeQueen, AR, Tammie (John) Johnson of Alvarado, TX and six grandchildren, Samara Bezner, Riley Parker, Jacelyn Barr, Kale Barr, Bryson Barr and Rowyn Barr.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 4, 2017 from 6-8 P.M. at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Funeral service will be Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 1801 Malone Street in Denton, Texas. Burial will follow at Old Alton Cemetery.
