Georgia was born on January 6, 1935 in Monett, daughter of the late Floyd Homer Isbell and Mary Ellen (Coatney) Isbell. Georgia received her education in Monett and later attended beautician school. For many years, Georgia was a waitress, a beautician and a homemaker. Georgia served the Lord faithfully throughout her life. She was a member of New Site Baptist Church, where she was a part of the J.O.Y. Sunday School Class. Georgia enjoyed playing the organ, watching ice skating, crocheting and writing. She was also an avid reader which led to her visiting the Monett Library on a weekly basis.
On April 9, 1952 in Eureka Springs, AR, Georgia married Asa F. Moss. To this union, two daughters were born.
Georgia is survived by her husband of over 65 years, Asa, of the home; her two daughters, Kathryn Ellen Aldridge and Terry Lynn Moller, and husband Randy, all of Monett; one brother, Homer Leroy Isbell, of Mt. Vernon, MO; four grandchildren, Kent A. Aldridge, Kyle A. Aldridge and wife Courtney A. Aldridge, Colt L. Moller and wife Jennifer A. Moller and Casey B. Moller; one great-granddaughter, Alice N. Aldridge; and a host of extended family and friends.
Georgia was preceded in death by one brother, Gene Isbell.
Funeral services for Mrs. Moss will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at New Site Baptist Church in Monett. Reverend Aaron Weibel and Pastor Rocky Harris will be officiating. Interment will be at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Monett. Visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
