Newark: Rosalie Galens, 76, died on Thursday April 4, 2013 at Newark Wayne Community Hospital.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Felix Dalimpuo at 10 A.M. on Saturday April 13, at St. Michael Church, South Main Street, Newark, with a reception to follow. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Clifton Springs.
Memorials in her name may be made to the Recreation Department of Ontario ARC, 3071 Community Complex Drive, Canandaigua, NY 14424.
The eleventh of twelve children, Rosalie was born in Clifton Springs on October 20, 1936, the daughter of the late John and Emma Maslyn Galens of Clifton Springs. She was cared for by her loving family and attended school with her younger brother, Francis, for several years. At age 37, Rosalie moved to her new home at the Newark Developmental Center and soon had an additional large, loving and caring family.
Rosalie is survived by three siblings Helen Crowley, Regina (Leo) Krolak and Charles (Shirley); many nieces, nephews and her family and friends at 103 Cobblestone Terrace. She was predeceased by her parents and siblings Alma DeWilde, Ruth Gardner, Lewis, Leon, Jack, Robert, William, and Francis Galens.
