She was born in Belfast, Virginia on January 21, 1928 to William and Virginia Cox.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Lewis Andrew Harvey, and her son, Ronnie Harvey.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane Faust, and husband, Bill, of Piney Flats; grandchildren Amber Carrasco, Aaron Faust, Mark Faust, and Becky Whitaker and spouses. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; Derek, Austin, Hunter, Rosie, Nathan, Hartley, Brylee, Elijah, Sammy, Tucker, and Jackson.
Jean spent most of her life as a resident of Piney Flats and attended Rocky Springs Baptist for many years. She was currently a member of First Christian Church of Bristol. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, growing flowers, quilting, watching game shows, and most of all spending time with her family. She could always be counted on to help out anyone in need, from running errands to preparing meals and anything in between. She was famous for her butterscotch pies and pumpkin rolls.
A celebration of life will be held 6 p.m. Tuesday, December 5, 2017 in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Herb Peak and Pastor Wilton Wood officiating.
The committal service and interment will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at New Bethel Cemetery in Piney Flats, TN.
