Sister Boehm was born Feb. 26, 1892, in St. Bernard, Ohio, the daughter of John and Mary Kestler Boehm. She was a retired elementary and high school teacher and principal. She entered the convent July 12, 1907, and took her final vows in 1915. She was a member of the Sisters of St. Francis for 77 years.
She taught elementary school at St. Aloysius in Delhi, at St. Joseph Sacred Heart, and St. Catherine in Cincinnati. In Indiana she taught at St. Mary's in Aurora, in Kentucky at St. Aloysius in Covington, and also taught elementary schools in both Missouri and Indianapolis. She taught high school in St. Mary's Academy in Indianapolis, and at the Immaculate Conception at Oldenburg. She was principal of the St. Joseph School in Shelbyville, St. Anthony's at Morris, at St. Mary's at New Albany, and Our Lady of Lourdes in Indianapolis. She retired to the Motherhouse in Oldenburg in 1977.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The services will be held at 6:45 p.m. Monday at the Sisters of St. Francis Motherhouse Chapel at Oldenburg, with the Rev. Curt Lanzrath officiating, and with burial in the Motherhouse Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 p.m. until 6:45 p.m. Monday, at the Motherhouse Chapel.
The Weigel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
