Donna made a profession of faith early in life and was saved. At the time of her passing, she had been a longtime member of Prosperine Baptist Church, where she attended as long as her health allowed.
Donna attended Camdenton High School. She made friends easily and was treasured by her classmates. In 1954, she was elected Dogwood Queen. Donna graduated with the class of 1955.
Shortly after graduating from high school on June 8, 1955, Donna was united in marriage with Junior Frank Bishop. To this union was born two children, both surviving. Prior to Junior’s passing on June 6, 2003, they had shared nearly forty-eight years of love and wonderful memories together.
Donna was a devoted wife and mother. She took great pride in taking care of the children and providing a warm and welcome environment for her friends and family.
In her free time, Donna enjoyed tending to her vegetable garden and traveling with Junior.
She is survived by one son, Kenneth Bishop and his wife Elaine of Eldridge, MO; one daughter, Sharon Wassem and her husband Mike of Lebanon, MO; two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Adam Bishop; and special friend of nine years, Rudy Sutterfield; other relatives and friends.
Donna was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother Bill Clos and his wife Wanda.
Donna will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
