Thomas Township, Michigan - Our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother passed away at home on the October 12, 2009, at the age of 59 years. Jaime was born on April 29, 1950, in Brownsville, Texas to the late Justo and Consuelo (Hurtado) Rodriguez. He married Bonnie K. Ide in 1966 she predeceased him in 1987. He retired from General Motors where he worked for 36 years as a master welder. He loved collecting antiques, gardening, taking walks, working with metal and restoring old cars. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his beloved dog Dolly Madison Ide; his children, Jaime Rodriguez, Jerry (Page) Rodriguez, Bonnie Rodriguez, Kelly Benson and Robert Rodriguez; eleven grandchildren including a special grandson James Caylyn Rodriguez; two great-grandchildren; siblings, Socorro Castillo, Connie Olivarez, Josie Gonzalez, Olga Rodriguez, Ester Rodriguez, Augustine Rodriguez and David Rodriguez; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings Manuel Rodriguez and Juanita Grant. Funeral services will take place at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, October 17, 2009, at W.L. Case & Company 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Jerry Flores will officiate with cremation to follow. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until the service.
