Cecile M. Terveer, nee Kalkhoff, 80, of St. Libory, Ill., born Feb. 2, 1931, in St. Libory, Ill., died Thursday, July 28, 2011, at Memorial Convalescent Center in Belleville, Ill. Cecile was a homemaker, who enjoyed her flowers, gardening, spending time with her grandchildren, and travelling. She was a member of St. Liborius Catholic Church in St. Libory, Ill., St. Liborius Council of Catholic Women and the St. Clair County Home Extension. She was preceded in death by her parents, August and Cecelia, nee Wesselmann, Kalkhoff; a daughter, Kathleen in infancy; a sister, Genevieve Chott; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Surviving are her husband, Irvin Terveer whom she married in St. Libory, Ill., on May 10, 1950; five children, Phyllis (James) Vielweber of Freeburg, Ill., Jann (Thomas) Taylor of Freeburg, Ill., Kevin (Nancy) Terveer of Shiloh, Ill., Denise (Timothy) Holliday of Springfield, Ill., and Patricia (Jeffrey) Kraus of Waterloo, Ill.; 14 grandchildren, David (Mindy), Steven, and Daniel Vielweber, Chuck, Christy (fiance, Jason Gibson), and Jackie Taylor, Annemarie, Claire, and Matthew Terveer, Rachel and Andrew Holiday, Megan, Amanda, and Allen Kraus; two great-grandchildren, Kaden and Reese Vielweber; two sisters, Pauline Dressler of St. Libory, Ill., and Clara (Victor ) Albers of St. Libory, Ill.; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Russell (Joyce) Terveer of Belleville, Ill., Lorraine Terveer of St. Louis, Mo., and Jolanda Patterline of Mascoutah, Ill.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral: A funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 1, 2011, at St. Liborius Catholic Church in St. Libory with Father Stan Konieczny officiating. Burial will be in St. Liborius Catholic Cemetery, St. Libory, Ill.
