Autumn Nicole MORSE-JONES (1979 - 2017)

MORSE-JONES, Autumn Nicole (Age 38) Of Albion, WA passed away unexpectedly on November 28, 2017 at her Albion home. Autumn was born March 15, 1979 in Spokane, WA to William and Juanita (Gonzalez) Morse. Autumn was a member of the Blackfoot Nation and was proud of her Native American heritage. She attended high school in Cheney and Spokane, WA where she played soccer. She graduated from Lewis & Clark High School. Autumn worked for Yokes for several years supporting her growing family following graduation. She was blessed with two daughters Ashley and Taylor and quickly made into a wonderful mother.

The family moved to Garfield, WA in 2005. In 2008, Autumn was accepted to Washington State University where she received her Bachelor degree in Human Development and her Minor in American Indian Studies in 2012. She went to work at WSU following graduation where she was the Native American Outreach Coordinator. Autumn was proud of her work with Native students and was very successful at helping young Native students strive for success. She believed that the influence of a single person within a large group could make all the difference.

Autumn was very successful at helping young native students strive for and achieve degrees in higher education. She had a variety of talents and hobbies including beading, sewing, crafting, cooking (especially Indian food) and camping.

Later on, Autumn and her eldest daughter Ashley, relocated to Albion, WA, where they made their home. Autumn was a jack of all trades and could make anyone smile with her presence.

Autumn is survived by her two daughters Ashley Swall and Taylor Jones; her father William "Bill" Morse and stepmother Margie; two brothers William "Billy" Morse, Jr., and Evan Morse; four stepsisters Becky, Jo, Anna, and Dana; her loving companion Giovane Rojas and his family; along with her WSU family.

Autumn was preceded in death by her mother Juanita and her grandmother Dorothy.

The funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Friday, December 8, 2017 at Concordia Lutheran Church, 1015 NE Orchard Dr., in Pullman, WA. Graveside services will take place Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 9:30 am at St. Joseph Cemetery in Spokane Valley, WA. A gathering for family and friends will follow the graveside service.
